Simon did excellent on this recommendation. Of course, we knew David would knock it out of the park.
I like him so much
Best ever winner of American Idol.
Just marvel what take place with the number of viewers? This song reached to a million plus views month after he won. Then now just less than 60k ? Has anyone or YT deleted those high rated videos of David Cook?
Me too.
100 times best then bgt joe mcelledery this year, he is just cool with persionality
i miss paula
I didn’t watch Idol7, but saw some comments about David during my utube search for other Idol star, and now David becomes one of my favorite!!!!!!!! OMG this is incredible, I plotting billie jean was the best, but this is so fantastic. got shiver!!!! From the start to the end, awesome!!
I like to simon smile. He can be cold but not with david!!
@georgyorgy2 In fact the man is doing very well for himself. In December he finished up a hugely sucessful headlining tour in support of his platinum album. Has a couple platinum singles as well. And is busy writing for a new record that is highly anticipated by many.
I remember watching this live 2 years ago. David Cook had an incredible falsetto. I marvel why he didn’t become too well-known after Idol.
Initially time I ever saw Simon laugh so hard
He is pretty handsome guy & so cute ! He such a excellent sweet person <3
He alway look excellent at audion & now, i reckon everyday he look more hot OMG ! David Cook, like you , u’re incredible !
What a voice ? only one word “BEAUTIFUL”
DAVID COOK all the way & by far miles…. So pleased when he won, cuz he truly worthy it, right ?
Incredible!
Crap! I am am so sick of this kareoke shit! He missed the song really. What a fucking embarrasment.
I wish he was on tv more! WOW, fantastic!
I reckon he did a really excellent job on this, voice range, tone and it fit his style of singing and the result was nearly perfect. Excellent luck to David Cook, he obviously has been singing since he was a kid and it is paying off.
It was AWESOME!
yeah poor syesha
He did a excellent job of this song, but this is one of those that only the original singer can truly deliver. I mean, reckon of Stairway to Heaven, although I reckon I’ll vomit if I ever have to hear it again, who else would/could sing it but Robert Plant? Same goes for this song and Roberta Flack.
Randy is JUST Pissed so he’s mad at David’s AWESOME performance. btw Randy sabotaged Syesha by picking a predictable song for her voice.
A comunist scottish song writer and politician very purist when it came to the traditional values of scotish folk music… and because of that he HATE every single version done after Peggy’s because “no english speaking singer should be allowable to sing scottish folk”. My god … and they said Hitler was dead. LOL Thanks Roberta for giving this a much cleaner tone and image that could be related to all of us … away from prejudice!
OMG!! So hott!!! He did such a excellent job at this song. Even if Simon picked it out…lol
The song was popularized by Roberta Flack and became a breakout hit for the singer after it appeared in the film Play Misty for Me
“The Initially Time Ever I Saw Your Face” is a 1957 folk song written by Ewan MacColl for Peggy Seeger, who was later to become his wife.
It wasn’t written by a mountain man, it was written by a British folk singer, Ewan McColl in 1963 for his wife, Peggy Seeger, also a folk singer. It was Roberta Flack who recorded it & added it to her album debut, Initially Take in 1969. THEN, it was added to the soundtrack for “Play Misty For Me” in 1971 that starred Clint Eastwood. Just a small FYI for you.
You all should know this song was written by a man, a mountain man, in 1953. Cool huh?
