“American’s Got Talent” honcho Simon Cowell thinks the Parents Television Council has NOTHING to worry about now that Howard Stern is joining the show … telling TMZ, “If he goes too far, he’ll be kicked off.”
Cowell just called in to “TMZ Live” … telling us he thinks Stern is way too smart to cross the line on the show — “He’s not stupid, this guy.”
“AGT” judge Howie Mandel also called in … telling us the PTC is “ignorant” for attacking Stern … claiming, “It’s ridiculous to reckon that he’s bringing the Sirius show to ‘America’s Got Talent’.”

Simon Cowell — Howard Stern Ain’t Stupid, He’ll Behave on ‘Talent’
*** Captain Janks*** Somebody (Howard Stern, perhaps?) pulled a quick one on cnn’s Ali Velshi today. During a crash on the snow situation at Newark airport, Velshi turned to Gene Lasker, from the New Jersey Emergency Management, on the phone. Lasker started with normal-sounding updates before he advised all that “today is a day to just sit in your homes and contemplate Howard Stern on ‘American Idol’.” The CNN host guffawed, and producers can be heard laughing, but continued to question questions of Lasker before the prankster cut it small: “You’re a dumb ass. You don’t know this is a prank call?” A excellent-natured Velshi took it in stride: “You got us, Gene. Very excellent.”
NBA owners and players are continuing a further lengthy bargaining session despite the departure of Commissioner David Stern.
