INDIANAPOLIS (Reuters) – Indiana became the 23rd state to pass anti-union “right-to-work” legislation on Wednesday and the initially in the state’s manufacturing heartland, dealing a blow to methodical labor by allowing workers to opt out of paying union dues. (Reuters) – The health of former Penn State football coach Joe Paterno, who was fired last November in the wake of a child sex abuse scandal involving an assistant coach, has deteriorated and his status is serious, a family spokesman said on Saturday. “Over the last few days Joe Paterno has experienced further health complications. PITTSBURGH (Reuters) – Former Penn State University Athletic Director Tim Curley, who faces lying under oath charges stemming from the child sex abuse scandal that has rocked the school, is suffering from lung cancer, his family said on Wednesday. A malignant cancerous cancer was exposed in June 2010 and half of Curley’s lung was removed, his family said in a statement. The statement said he had not undergone chemotherapy or radiation, but did not elaborate. …
