Arnold Schwarzenegger’s like child was conspicuously absent from his own middle school graduation on Friday — and we’re told, it’s all because his family wanted to protect him.
Sources close to Mildred Baena tell TMZ, she pulled her 14-year-ancient son out of school last month — soon after the tale ruined that Arnold was his real father.
According to sources, photographers had started to camp outside the Bakersfield middle school where Arnold’s son was a student — and Mildred chose to yank him out … to protect him from the media.
His graduation ceremony took place Friday morning — and his name was even on the program — but we’re told he wasn’t bestow … because the family didn’t want him parading around in public.
We’re told the family desperately wants the whole scandal to blow over ASAP — so their lives can return to normal.
Sources at “X Factor” tell TMZ … FOX and Fremantle (the producers of the show) are tiresome to get Cheryl Cole back on the program, a week after giving her her walking papers … but it’s more about the bottom line than about loving Cheryl.
Our sources say when producers told Cheryl she wasnt right for the U.S. version of “X Factor,” they tried to place her on the UK version of the show. Cheryl’s managers wanted £2.5 million and producers plotting it was too much, so the deal went south.
We’re told Cheryl was due to get paid around .5 million for the U.S. show — about what Paula Abdul and LA Reid are making — but she has not chose whether to accept and come back. The whole situation becomes even messier when you take into account Nicole Scherzinger — who was originally hired as a host, but went to being a judge when Cheryl was axed.
Our sources say Cheryl’s deal with the U.S version is “pay or play” — meaning she gets paid whether she does the show or not. We’re told execs at FOX — and especially at Fremantle — dont want to lose the money … so it’s best to have her on the show than not.

Arnold Schwarzenegger concedes he’s Mildred “Patty” Baena’s baby daddy, but TMZ has learned there was NEVER a DNA test establishing paternity.
Multiple sources with direct information of the baby saga tell TMZ … Arnold by no means demanded a DNA test. We’ve also learned Baena by no means took steps to establish paternity through DNA.
As for why Arnold was so sure he was the father … our sources say Baena’s husband was not even in the United States when the baby was conceived. He returned to the U.S. just days before the boy was born.
By the time the boy was a toddler, it became “physically obvious” that Arnold was the dad, one source says. In fact, we’re told several members of the Maria Shriver/Arnold Schwarzenegger staff sometimes confused Arnold’s youngest son, Christopher, with Baena’s child.
