The audience at last night’s taping of “Two and a Half Men” — the initially without Charlie Sheen — saw the much anticipated funeral scene, guest stars, and Ashton Kutcher … but did NOT learn how Charlie’s character dies.
According to sources at the taping of the premiere episode … the audience only saw parts of the funeral scene — featuring Jon Cryer, Angus T. Jones, Melanie Lynskey (Charlie’s stalker, Rose), and Jenny McCarthy.
We’re told scenes were shot out of peacefulness … and in bits and pieces — apparently to preserve certain plot secrets like exactly how ‘Charlie Harper’ bites the dust. Our sources say some sort of “accident” is all that was mentioned in front of the audience — and multiple takes were taped … so no one could be sure what makes the final cut.
As for Ashton … most of the audience liked him. We’re told he and Cryer had excellent
chemistry — and Ashton went out of his way to interact with the audience. At one top he snuck into the crowd and surprised a woman with a back rub.
At least one audience member said Ashton seemed dry and didn’t quite own the
character. Can’t please ‘em all.
Oh, and our spies didn’t spot Demi Moore or Chuck Lorre — but it’s a excellent bet Chuck was there behind the scenes.

It’s gonna be a Full House at Charlie Harper’s funeral service on “Two and a Half Men” … because one of the stars in attendance will be none other than Uncle Jesse himself … John Stamos!
Sources connected to the production tell TMZ … Stamos — who was once rumored to be Charlie Sheen’s replacement on the show — will say a couple of terms at the service … raunchy terms.
We’re told Stamos’ character will reveal he and Harper were CLOSE friends … the kind of friends who once three-way’d a chick together.
Sources tell us Jenny McCarthy will also be at the funeral — she famously played one of Harper’s ex-girlfriends who ruined up with Charlie after she got tired of having sex with him.
Melanie Lynskey will also return as “Rose” — who was last seen going to Paris with Harper in the very last episode featuring Charlie Sheen.

The stage is finally set for Charlie Harper’s funeral on “Two and a Half Men” … which features a tribute to the iconic WARDROBE Charlie Sheen made well-known on the show — and TMZ has the pics!
Harper’s trademark bowling shirt and shorts hang at the front of a what appears to be a chapel — surrounded by flowers. There is no sign of a coffin or an urn.
The episode is scheduled to air on Sept. 19 — and according to Deadline.com, the funeral will be packed with just about every memorable chick Harper nailed on the show since it started.

A NYC man — who allegedly takes his sitcoms way too seriously — was arrested for mission a local television station and threatening to blow it up if it kept airing “Two and a Half Men” re-runs.
The calls — made to WPIX on May 11 and May 23 — were traced back to a man named Freddy Caldwell … according to the NY Post.
According to the paper, Caldwell was charged with deceptively reporting an thing and aggravated harassment.
TMZ spoke to a WPIX employee who confirmed the alleged threatening calls were expected in their newsroom, but didn’t know why the caller was so ticked about ‘Men.’
