Of course it’d work, he’d get the show the largest ratings it’s ever seen.
It won’t take place though. Fox isn’t going to give him twice as much as they’re paying Simon, they’ll doubtless try and lowball him and he’ll rip them publicly and that’ll be that.
Otherwise some of the right-wing Fox suits might get all high-and-mighty and stand in the way. Fox will do basically anything for ratings, but there’s something about Stern that just gets everone’s panties in a twist – prolly the honesty.

by no means take place…huge bird’s goin’ to wake up 4 in the morning and do a fill in time show. no way.

Stern on American Idol is the only thing that could ever get me to watch that shitty show.
when stern signed with Sirius the stock went from $3 to over $9 in month, I know because I made 40k in 2 weeks.
My guess is he sold out too when the stock was over $6, just going by his current net worth
Remember a lot of Stern $500 million contract was stock options. Last time I checked sirius was a penny stock at at 0.80 a share and previously lo of 0.06 cents a share. Stern has killed the stock!

If Howard becomes a judge, the ratings will go through the roof. The advertising dollar will be sickening. Everytime a TV show or radio station is in the toilet, he comes to the rescue and ressurrects it.
